Over a decade invested
The Dipset rapper started dating Kimbella in 2009, then after a decade long relationship and 2 children together, the two married in 2019. Santana proposed in front of a crowd at the Apollo Theatre, which was also filmed on the Love & Hip-Hop: New York series. The three year marriage featured one more child before the official divorce announcement earlier this week.
A bit of a rough landing
After such a long relationship, many are shocked to see Kimbella single, but the way the world found out gave us clues to the motive. The news was confirmed during a series of passive aggressive posts by Kimbella on Wednesday. In a bikini Instagram photo, she captioned the post with “next chapter…. S I N G L E” just in time for the new year. She then alluded to the reasons for the break up on her Instagram story. She caused quite a stir while talking down on the Dipset rapper on social media.

She shared heartfelt scenes from various movies, accompanied by captions expressing constant arguments, pleading for change, and feeling emotionally drained due to his self-centeredness. These posts sparked curiosity about the undisclosed struggles she faced in her relationship.

Kimbella expressed her emotions further, sharing about witnessing repeated mistakes despite promises of change, feeling isolated due to continuous lies throughout the relationship, realizing it’s time to let go despite still loving him, and contemplating how to rebuild herself after being pulled down.
