Juelz Santana better get used to color orange real soon, because he’s been sentenced to 27 months behind bars in Newark, New Jersey.
According to sources, his sentencing took place on Wednesday morning in Newark, New Jersey. After Santana was caught at Newark International Airport with a .38-caliber handgun, and eight oxycodone pills in his luggage, it seemed almost impossible that he’d walk away with a slap on the wrist. And well, that’s exactly what happened.
Juelz Santana said the following:
“So I decided to take the plea,” he stated. “I felt like it was the least selfish choice for my family. I still have no full closure because, at the end of the day, I know the final decision is on the judge. He could give me more time than I agreed on. Just when I felt like I was going to be getting some closure, the problems just began.”
On top of his 27 month-sentence, he will also be placed on a 12-month supervised released, after his time is served. There are no details on when the judge has ordered for him to start.
