Joe Budden Says Eminem’s Music Has Aged Poorly

There will always be a debate about who’s the greatest rapper in the HipHop industry. Of course, there are several great artists out there, but not everyone can take on the GOAT title. Recently, former rapper Joe Budden was asked to name his Top 10 list of best rappers alive today.

While the New Jersey native named the best of the best, he wasn’t so eager to past the crown to Eminem. Unfortunately, Joe Budden believes his music has aged poorly.

Apparently, Joe Budden believes that Slim Shady has reached the end of his career. During a recent episode of Brackets with Brian “B. Dot” Miller, the two talked about who they’d name as their top 10 best rappers alive.

Furthermore, Budden and B. Dot named everyone from Lil Wayne to Drake. Though, when B. Dot hailed Eminem as one of his top 10, Budden disagreed.

The podcast host immediately shut down any notion that Eminem could be included on the list, given his recent music.

According to the New Jersey native, the rapper’s music has aged poorly. “I think only his classics have remained classics,” he said. Though, Joe Budden did admit that he loved his first album and The Marshall Mathers LP.

At least Budden gave the guy some credit.

While Joe Budden isn’t a die-hard fan of Eminem’s music, he definitely loves Jay-Z’s discography. Moreover, the podcast host even crowned him as the best rapper alive today. Budden handed him the title for one reason alone, he’s a lyrical genius.

Though, the New Jersey native shared a different opinion about Hov’s verse on DJ Khaled’s “God Did.”

According to Budden, it didn’t make the cut on his Top 10 Best verses. Even so, Budden didn’t dare say Hov’s music aged poorly.
