Joe Budden “Comes Out” On The Air

For the longest time, the hip-hop community has remained closed-minded around the topic of sexuality. Now with the emergence of game-changing artists like Lil Nas X, more emcees have decided to come out the closet. Earlier this year, female rapper and now radio host Da Brat, revealed that she’s a lesbian. Recently, Joe Budden came out on his podcast, revealing that he identifies as a bisexual. The former rapper finally comes out to the world.

On Thursday Nov. 4, Joe Budden took to his podcast to ‘come out the closet.’ Perhaps the former rapper felt inspired by other out and proud emcees to share his truth. Furthermore, the 41-year-old revealed during his podcast that he’s fluid.

“I’m bisexual. How do I spread this news? How do I spread the word? Yo, listen, I like guys and girls. Spread the word. I’m down.” Joe Budden always has a lot to say on his show. Though, no one expected Budden to reveal his sexual identity.

Fans have been flooding social media with their reactions to Budden’s big reveal. Unfortunately, not everyone supported the podcast host and his huge revelation. Instead, many fans assumed that the 41-year-old was intentionally trolling. At the time of Budden’s coming out, DaBaby faced major backlash for his homophobic comments made during a Rolling Loud concert. Furthermore, Budden offered some commentary on people cancelling DaBaby and the rap star’s attempts to win back the masses. It’s unclear whether or not Budden meant to troll at the time. Nonetheless, he caught the attention of his fans for sure.
