During a gathering in Missoula, Montana, former Vice President, Joe Biden, 76, told a crowd that he might throw his name in the hat.
“I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that I’ve worked on my whole life,” he said.
Biden was promoting his new book, “Promise Me, dad,” when he made the comment.
To a crowd of many, he said, “I have two young grandchildren my son left who love me and adore me and want me around. I want to be there to take care of them, so we’ve got to figure out whether or not this is something we can all do as a family.” Biden will make need the help of his family to make the final decision.
Biden ran for presidential nomination in 1988, and once more in 2008. Both times he lost. After his loss in 2008, he joined Barack Obama’s team as Vice President.
If serious, Biden could be the running mate of other possible presidential nominees, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, in the 2020 presidential elections.
