When Life Gives You Lemons
We live in an age where there is a media content constantly around us. Everywhere we go we see some form of it. On our TVs, on billboards, even on our cell phones. Wherever we go we see some form of it. On our TVs, on billboards, even on our cell phones. Even in quarantine, two very popular forms of media consumption are movie trailers and music videos. So when a group of Nigerian kids decided to re-create some of these videos shot for shot, using every day household items, it took off immediately.
The Ikorodu Bois is comprised of Brothers Muiz Sanni, 15, Malik Sanni, 10 and their cousin Fawas Aina, 13. Their video editor and , manager is Babatunde Sianni, Muiz and Malik’s 23 year old brother. Originally just doing these types of skits for fun, They saw the potential of what they could accomplish if they decided to turn their hobby into a career. After three years of hard work and dedication, They are now enjoying the fruits of their labor. And in the process, have gained a following of 591,000 followers on their Instagram account. Celebrity icons such as LeBron James and Roddy Ricch have even turned into this, and have reposted their content on their Social Media platforms.
