Lupe Fiasco To Rebirth “Food & Liquor” In 2019

We’ve all witnessed the firepower rappers that Chicago produces!!

Kanye, Big Sean, and Common are some of the most elite artists to touch the mic in this day and age. Another rapper that we cannot forget to mention is lyricist Lupe Fiasco. Back in 2006, a kid in Chicago was able to deliver a masterpiece in his debut album entitled Food & Liquor.

Lupe has announced that in 2019, he will be performing the classic 2006 album in its entirety in an exclusive concert. This will not be the first time he has revived the album. Back in 2011, Lupe re-released Food & Liquor adding four additional tracks. In 2011, the rapper also released a video for “Just Might Be O.K.”.

In a statement, Lupe shared his excitement about bringing the album back to life in this fashion.

“The fans have been asking for it for a long time and the time finally felt right,” Lupe said. “This album speaks to a really interesting, but special time in my career and it’s cool to be able to share that in a new way with everyone.”

This past September, Lupe dropped his seventh studio album entitled “Drogas Wave”. The album is the follow up to his February 2017’s Drogas Light.

The concert takes place at The Novo venue on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019. For tickets and more, click here
