How is Wendy Williams doing? Our girl Wendy Williams is going to make it happen one way or another. The former daytime TV show host is turning her back on TV, according to Bossip. Since The Wendy Williams Show cancelled last month, Williams is not letting a closing door determine her check-cashing habits. The controversial diva is soon giving us her own podcast show. Williams is always vocal about her stance with television, letting us know that she is 100 percent done. The show’s finale happened without the presence of the host, making an awkward ending for Wendy. But that’s no way our gossip queen is gonna go out without a bang.
Wendy Williams on Health
Many may wonder, how is Wendy Williams doing? The upcoming podcast host is a willful woman who hopes to defy all odds; however, her health can sometimes disrupt her plans. According to Prevention, Williams says she, “can only feel 5% of my feet” due to lymphedema. Lymphedema is swelling caused by the retention of protein-rich fluid that the body would normally filter out. This usually occurs in the arms or legs. The host has also suffered a long-time battle with Graves disease, causing her to put the initial hold on The Wendy Williams Show. This is entirely unfortunate being that her ongoing health struggles are a result of the show ending, and somewhat unfair. This makes us question the urgency of Black women and their health in entertainment. There is still a large flaw in the entertainment industry when it comes to women, especially Black women.
Although Wendy’s most recent health concern in lymphedema, reports show that she is winning the battle against the disease. Williams is one to use her wit to outshine any of her illnesses. She makes us feel like she can handle it all. If she can, we can too.
“I’ve got enough money to do something else, and what I’ve never done—podcast. Which, by the way, everyone has. But when you’re famous, podcasts will make more money for me, being famous, than doing The Wendy Williams Show.”
The TV personality is already speaking with the likes of the Kardashians, Snoop Dogg, and Fat Joe about being potential guests for the Wendy Williams podcast.
