Demon Slayer is a surprise hit that came out of nowhere. Literally, after watching the first season of the anime, people went back and read the manga. The story takes place in the Taisho Period, years 1912 to 1926. Demon Slayer fellows a young boy name Tanjirou Kamado, whose family is killed by the first demon Muzan Kibutsuji. Tanjirou comes home and sees his family slaughtered in cold blood but was surprised and happy when he saw his little sister Nezuko alive, but turned into a demon. Now with his sister, Tanjirou becomes a demon slayer and goes on a quest to find a way to change Nezukor back into a human and kill Muzan Kibutsuji.
What makes the Demon Slayer good?
Not only is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba deep with well-done dialogue. It also has color and scenes that will blow you away. The animators took their time animating this show. The colors in it are bright, but not annoying. When a slayer uses his or her breathing style, you will appreciate the element that comes out their sword — not only the elements but the smooth moves that come with their attack. You see them gracefully glide and flow as they use their specially made katanas to cut demons heads off. Each character is unique in their way. They all have distinctive personalities where no personality is the same, even the bad guys. Also, you get an exciting and quick back story on why or how someone becomes a demon or a slayer, and it can get gory and or sad.
With a live cast and great action, this anime is not going anywhere. It will be one of those animes that you will cherish. We love the arcs and how well the story movies. Please, make sure to be there when season two and the movie release in mid and late 2020.
