This bust made the history books.
HK$3 million worth of knockoff goods (equivalent to $387,000 USD) were discovered today in Hong Kong within the last two months. This makes the record books of being the biggest city seizing withing the last ten years.
30,000 pieces, including luxury watches, perfumes, sneakers and other random merchandise were recovered. The most popular of the items in the bust were Chanel bags and knock off converse.
This comes as no surprise though. Hong Kong is notorious for knockoffs. Locals and tourists buy up the fakes due to their overwhelming availability, according to Channel NewsAsia. Resulting in 3 arrests, operated at two separate locations.
