    Hip Hop Radio Host Big Boy Receives A Hollywood Star

    When it comes to winning awards, some stars just can’t loose. Former Power 106 radio host Big Boy will finally receive his “flowers” this week. It was just announced that the radio veteran will have his name engraved on a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Making the moment all the more special, Big Boy’s friend Dr. Dre will present him the award. Having worked in showbiz for more than 50 years, it’s well overdue for the GOAT legend to receive a Hollywood Star.

    By this Wednesday, September 8th, Big Boy’s name will be the newest addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to sources, the radio host veteran will receive a star on the boardwalk for the first time Not to mention, it’s all happening on his 52nd birthday. Now that’s a great way to celebrate our birthday. Furthermore, the star will receive a dedication into the category of radio at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard, right in front of Amoeba Music. Of course, Big Boy raved about his upcoming ceremony on social media.

    Additionally, Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, had some kind words to share about the radio host veteran. “Big Boy’ is L.A.’s pride and joy and a hero to his listeners. We are thrilled to honor him on his special birthday and welcome him to our Walk of Fame family.” Clearly, everyone’s over the moon about Big Boy’s huge moment.

    Big Boy’s Impressive Resume

    The radio host deserves to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Afterall, he’s dedicated over 20 years to his radio hosting duties for Power 106. Before then, he worked as a disc jockey and a bodyguard for the ’90s Hip Hop group The Pharcyde.

    The radio legend has won a slew of awards including Radio Music Awards’ Personality of the Year four times. Additionally, he received that same honor eight times from Radio and Records Media. Even the National Association of Broadcasters has also awarded Big Boy the Marconi Award three times. By 2015, he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. The radio veteran knows how to hustle and keep his material fresh.

    Staying true to his work ethic, Big Boy plans to launch his new show After Hours with Big Boy on October 7th. Moreover, the new radio show will feature celebrity guest stars and allow fans to get in on all the action. It’s no wonder Big Boy will have his name engraved on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
