People are freaking crazy if they think Hilary Duff is an abusive mother.
So what if she pierced her daughter’s ears. That doesn’t make her a monster. Hilary Duff is actually one of the most unproblematic stars in Hollywood, so everyone should just mind their own business, and let her parent the way she feels is right. However, now someone is claiming the actor is involved in child abuse.
Besides, getting kid’s ears pierced at a young age is very normal in the black and Latina community. Some kids get their ears pierced as early as 3-months-old– and guess what–they turn out just fine. Most don’t even remember, because it happened such a long time ago.
But unfortunately, there’s a certain group of people who don’t agree.
Those people attacked Hilary over social media for making the decision to pierce her 8-month old daughter’s ears.
Hilary’s seen in a picture on Instagram with the smiling child, Banks Violet Bair, who seems to have some new bling shining.
In the comment section, some women lost it. They called it child abuse, and even threatened to unfollow the former-Disney Channel star, reports The Blast.
One woman shamed her by writing:
“I can’t believe someone who seemed so screwed on pierced her babies ears, causing unnecessary pain that isn’t for medical reasons done by a fully qualified medical professional is child abuse in my eyes,” one follower ranted. “The risks are unreal and that throbbing pain in her ears no matter how happy and looked after your child is just isn’t justified in my eyes.”
As of now, Hilary hasn’t said anything in response to her haters– a sign of being unbothered.
