Grotesk’s “T.SQ Newsstand” Art Installation Is Coming to Times Square

A few years back in 2009, Juxtapoz Magazine summoned Brooklyn artist Kimou Meyer, also known as Grotesk to make an illustrated cover to give homage to the old school NYC print media. And he did so in an artistic fashion. Flash forward to 2015, Grotesk has just revealed that the previous cover of Juxtapoz is now a physical piece of art that looks exactly like a newsstand.

As cool as this is, it won’t be in dark for long.

Complex reports:

“And now, Grotesk,Victory JournalJuxtapoz magazine, and Times Square Arts are bringing the newsstand to the heart of NYC: Times Square.”

Pretty dope right?

Complex also reports that the installation will be on display at the Broadway Plaza (between 44th and 45th streets) beginning tomorrow through Oct. 18. In addition, it will also feature surprise pop up visits from contributing artists like Jason Polan, Jean Jullien, and Cheryl Dunn. If you’re in the NYC area, you may wanna check this out.
