You are the evil spawn (Spoiler Alert).
The last intern from Grey’s Anatomy is finally gone. On March 5, 2020, we said our final farewell to Dr. Alex Karev, played by Justin Chambers. He was a day one for the show. He was also there for every significant event and the ups and downs at Seattle Grace Hospital (Or whatever they call it).
His character was hated by everyone but then loved by everyone. You didn’t hate Karev as a character; you enjoy him. His smart comments and his narcissism was just something that works for him and the show. You also enjoyed the times he becomes attached to the other characters. There will be no other characters like Karev in the show, and it shouldn’t be.
The best part about this episode is that they didn’t get rid of Alex Karev by killing him. They took the time to come up with a story that makes sense. The way that Alex went off was beautiful, heartwarming, and sad. We hear the emotion in his voice in the four letters he wrote to his closest love ones. We get snippets of his past on Grey’s and his future with his new family with Izzy, his first wife, and former intern Izzy Stevens. On a farm in Kansas.
This episode is an emotional rollercoaster that takes us on a ride, not a crazy trip like where use to with this show. But a journey that gives us the answers we need when Justin announces he needed a break from the show.
We say goodbye to a character that grew with us. This episode gives us a happy farewell to the evil spawn. His story ends off with him finally getting what he needs and deserves. He leaves the show satisfied and with no regrets. We will miss him, but we know that he is going for his good. So Hypefresh would like to say goodbye to Dr. Alex Karev and thank him for his years on Grey’s Anatomy.
