GIRLZLUHDEV SHARES CAREFREE VISUAL FOR “DEAD BRO”
Rising Inland Empire rapper GirlzLuhDev returns today with a video for his woozy single “Dead Bro,” via Capitol Records. Posted up in the studio, and outside with friends, Dev lets loose luxurious raps with both effortless suave and quiet contemplation. His easygoing confidence and athletic vocals are on full display as he continues to carve out a place for himself at the top of rap.
The song, built around smooth keys, slick bass, and Dev’s buttery crooning, is a West Coast delight that’s echoed by the slick visuals. Dev and his crew pal around outside a gas station, two-stepping and busting moves in preparation for the lively summer ahead. Dev’s charisma and charm in the visual call back to the greatest California MCs, who built long careers out of rapping well and having a good time.
The “Dead Bro” video follows Dev’s two recent singles, “Day One Starter (feat. Remble)” and “Mario Chalmers,” the latest installments in a year of overwhelming success for the 18-year-old. The video shows Dev is the complete package, a technically gifted rapper who can life spirts on command.
Much of his acclaim has followed his viral single “Tooka,” which launched him from local stardom to the national spotlight and earned him a deal with Capitol Records.
