    Khaby Lame Entertains Millions With No Words

    Twenty-one-year-old Khaby Lame, a TikToker rose to fame in less than a year. Rapidly gained momentum and a TikTok following of 114.4 million. As of right now, he’s on the way to passing TikTok star Charlie D’amelio by 11 million.

    Khabane Lame, who was born in Senegal, West Africa on March 9, 2000, is now living in Italy. He started his TikTok account in March 2020 right on the cusp of the pandemic. Also, the time when he lost his factory job.

    Meanwhile, unemployed Khabane Lame moved to his parent acquaint home. In an industrial town called Chivasso, Italy.

    As a result of being out of a job, his father was urging Lame to apply for jobs. But he decided to spend hours on end in the world of content creation. Like other TikTokers, Khaby started making videos of him dancing and doing multiple skits.

    Niche Found

    After finding success on the app, he shared response videos to people doing overly complicated acts. Additionally, he shows an easier way of doing those acts without any complication.

    His silent persona represents the visual reaction of “shaking my head” or SMH for internet slang, and it’s known by others across social media platforms.

    “Perhaps it’s because my facial expressions are amusing and they bring joy to people. I find delight in the simplicity of making others laugh,” Lame expressed.

    Growing Popularity

    According to page Social Blade, it shows that Lame is gaining an average of 200,000 followers daily on TikTok. He also has 47 million followers on Instagram.

    “I’m not concerned about being the top or ranking in popularity on TikTok. I began creating videos with the intention of bringing laughter to people during the lockdown period.”

    Besides the fact of his lack of traveling due to his immigration status, it still has not stopped him from going international. Lame currently has deals with companies outside of Italy like Netflix, Barilla, Dream 11, and many more which haven’t been disclosed yet.

    As of today, the rising star walked his first fashion show for Boss x Russell Athletic Capsule Collection held on Sept. 23rd in Italy.

    But as for now, we’ll see what’s in store for Khaby. Meanwhile, we’ll keep appreciating his life hacks quietly.
