February has been a big month for Future, releasing two studio albums, Future and HNDRXX, the past two Fridays. His albums have been successful, too. His self-titled album Future earned its No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200, selling 140,000 equivalent copies in its first week. It looks like HNDRXX will be following in its footsteps. According to HITS Daily Double, Future’s second album is set to sell between 110-115,000 equivalent copies in its first week, which could earn him the No. 1 spot again.
If that happens, Future will be the first rapper in Billboard history to debut at No. 1 two weeks in a row. Rumors have circulated early this week that Future is planning on dropping yet another album this Friday. A Reddit user discovered on the Ellen Show’s website stated that the rapper would release his third studio album after his appearance on the talk show on March. 3.
The episode description read: “Plus, one of the biggest rappers in music, FUTURE is on the show today! He’ll be performing a song from his upcoming CD, HNDRXX. He has the #1 album in the country this week with Future, and is attempting to have three #1 albums in a row in three weeks – which will make him the first in history to do that! He’s bringing it all to Ellen!”
Ellen Degeneres seems pretty trustworthy, so the world believed it. It wasn’t long before Future’s manager Anthony Saleh took to Twitter to deny the reports of another album.
