Last night marked the end of Queen Bey’s record-making Formation World Tour. With 49 shows across North America and Europe beginning earlier this year in April, the all-stadium tour supported the singer’s platinum-selling sixth studio album Lemonade.
The sold-out show’s finale – which took place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – attracted many stars including T.I., DMX, Ja Rule, and, of course, Jay-Z. Following Beyoncé’s adorable introduction of her husband by stating “Give it up for my man!,” the couple flirtatiously performed their signature hit “Drunk in Love” in front of tens of thousands of concertgoers. Kendrick Lamar and Serena Williams also joined the stage to perform Lemonade tracks “Freedom” and “Sorry” respectively.
Aside from the abundance of stars who graced the stage alongside the singer, Beyoncé continued to live up to her title as the greatest living entertainer as she performed her string of hits from her catalog. From “Crazy in Love” to “Halo” or “Flawless,” and not excluding the opening number of the ferocious “Formation,” fans were delighted to witness the closing show of the iconic tour.
