As technology advances, we seem to be that much closer to living in a futuristic world that was at one point, nothing more than fantasy. There have been movies, books, paintings and imaginative brains that have simply thought about the existence of flying automobiles, but on behalf of an aerospace engineer out of Silicon Valley, working at a company called Kitty Hawk, we have been blessed with the ultimate flying car prototype. Dubbed the Kitty Hawk Flyer, they have introduced us to the 2017 version of a flying car, which in better words is an all-electric aircraft.
Imagine your friends are on a beach and you are going to meet them on a nice sunny day, with a slight comfortable breeze that is entangled between the leaves of the green Magnolia trees that surround you. Hold on to that thought and now imagine pulling up on the island to meet your friends in a water friendly air craft! Not a boat, not a plane, not a helicopter but an engineered flying jet ski. That’s what you consider style!
Reported from New York Times, Cameron Robertson, the aerospace engineer, states,
“We hope that this is more of an exciting concept than what most people have had in their minds about flying cars. This is not yet that product in terms of what we will say and what it can do, but I think it demonstrates a vision of the future.”
Under the agreement and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), The Kitty Hawk Flyer has not only been safely tested, but it is also legal to operate in the United States. This specific prototype is only designed to fly over waters and less congested areas, but who knows where the mechanics and technology of this engineered air craft will take us in the next five years. It is safe to say the the Kitty Hawk Flyer has innovated a new means of transportation which will only continue to grow and evolve.
