This week, DeSantis has been busy trying to punish LGBTQ people for existing in his state by enacting a slew of anti-LGBTQ laws, which are sure to discriminate against the community and make it even harder for them to live and survive.
The governor has also taken aim at trans people who want to serve in the military and enacted policies that will prevent them from doing so.
Earlier this month, DeSantis signed an executive order requiring all military recruiters to be registered with the state’s Department of Military Affairs (DMA).
The order also requires all staff working in recruitment offices across the country to be employed by the DMA or serve under direct contract with it.
All branches of military recruiter services must register through the DMA before engaging with any student or prospective employee, according to the governor’s office.
This means that if a branch of service wants individual recruiters at particular schools around the country, they must register with Florida first. Takeaway: Desantis laws are how the Nazis rose to power. This very un-American.
