Felicity Huffman has arrived in court.
Huffman is facing serious criminal charges for a college bribery scandal, in which she paid $15,000 to have her daughter’s SAT scores altered. Huffman is not alone in this case though. She’s just one of 24 other parents pleading guilty to the same crime. She showed up to a courtroom in Boston to begin the trial period, on Monday.
Unlike, Lori Loughlin, Huffman and her husband, William H. Macy, are taking full ownership for the incident, and as a result are pleading guilty. If found guilty of the charges, Huffman could potentially be looking at several months behind bars. According to TMZ, prosecutors are aiming to stick Huffman with anywhere from 4 to 10 months in a federal prison. However, Huffman’s attorney is aiming to get that sentence knocked down significantly.
As it appears, her attorney believes the former Desperate Housewives star should only be required to serve 0 to 4 months behind bars.
Only time will tell though. Reportedly, it could take between 12 to 14 weeks before Huffman receives her sentencing in the matter.
