If you are worried about using FaceTime due to the privacy bug, we got you covered.
Yesterday, Apple seemingly acknowledged a bug with its video-calling feature. Apparently, users can hear your conversation even if they do not answer the call. Since then, Apple has disabled the app’s group chat function! (insert whew emoji!)
Because let’s be honest. If you are like me, then there are some conversations that you do not want people to hear. According to USA TODAY, swiping up to add a call prompts the issue. It basically starts a group call and automatically answers the call for the first person. By this, they are listening to all the juicy tea you spillin!
But no worries! Apple is fully “aware of the issue and identified a software update later this week.”
But New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ain’t with the bullshit. He suggests that you disable the app until Apple fixes the issue.
So, it’s pretty simple. If you have an iPhone or iOS device:
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down to FaceTime.
- Toggle the FaceTime switch off.
And there you have it!
So, what do you all think? Is it worth the wait or should we disable now? Please comment below and for more news, keep it locked to hypefres.co!
P.S. let this be a note to keep those conversations PG13!
