After an episode, in which Kevin Hart appears, Ellen DeGeneres is catching heat for showing sympathy towards the comedian.
Hart appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show to talk about his recent departure from hosting the 2019 Oscars. Hart explains how a few old tweets, that people called homophobic ruined his chances of performing his dream job. In the past, Hart posted tweets that read:
“If my son comes home & tries 2 play with my daughter’s dollhouse I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay.'”
And although Kevin Hart has apologized for his insensitive remarks, the critics aren’t letting the past say the past. They insisted that Hart apologize again, and suffer the consequences of not hosting. Rather than shy away, Hart resigned from hosting the Oscars and issued another apology.
What did Ellen have to say about that?
Well, she summed up the situation as a bunch of internet “haters” who get joy out of bullying celebrities.
Because of her use of the word “hater,” some critics are labeling DeGeneres as a traitor. TMZ dug up one of the tweets. Read it below.
“a massive f***ing betrayal.”
How do you feel about this situation? Should Kevin Hart be forgiven? Was Ellen DeGeneres right for defending Hart? Leave a comment to let us know.
