Doja Cat Evades Questions About Plans To Work With Dr. Luke

Working with the best of the best in the entertainment industry sometimes requires some serious research. Unfortunately for Doja Cat, the rap star had the displeasure of working with the most controversial music producers in the rap game, Dr. Luke. On several occasions, the producer has been accused of sexual assault and abuse. Thankfully, the female rapper herself has put as much distance between herself and him as humanly possible. Though, in a recent interview, Doja Cat evades questions about future plans to work with Dr. Luke.

Doja Cat has become one of the biggest female solo rap artists of the year. Despite her continued success, she’s faced criticisms and controversy in the past. Not to mention, she’s been “cancelled” by internet trolls. She may have survived a few mishaps by a stroke of luck, but she’s making sure not to involve herself in another.

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Doja Cat was asked about her working relationship with her former producer Dr. Luke. Moreover, the rapper previously worked with the producer on several of her songs. Though, these days she’s distancing herself from Dr. Luke. “I haven’t worked with him in a very long time . . . There’s shit that he’s credited for, where I’m like, ‘Hmm, I don’t know, I don’t know if you did anything on that.’” Apparently, Dr. Luke has taken credit for several of Doja Cat’s songs without her knowing firsthand. In further statements, she made it clear that she has no plans to work with him in the future. There’s obviously some tension between Doja Cat and the controversial producer.

Doja Cat appeared confident on her stance concerning her former producer Dr. Luke. However, she backtracked on her earlier statement later on. “When asked about Luke, I may have said something that someone could interpret as me saying that he had taken credit on things he didn’t deserve to. I just want to be clear that I have no firsthand knowledge of that being the case. I don’t want to participate in the rumor mill. The credits on my music are accurate, and I don’t want to imply anything else.” The star drastically changed her answer.
