Rising crooner, Khalid was just your average 18 year old following his passion for music, fresh from the High School locker room. Coming from a military family background, spending the majority of his time moving from state to state, Khalid is officially making waves following his relocation to Texas. With his latest single “Location“ taking over the radio stations and everyone’s playlists, his warm, soulful sound and youthful sensibility gives him an advantage in 2017.
“I used to record singing videos and post them on the internet but the right moment led me to creating my own song and putting myself out there. I’m glad I did that.”
With “Location” being filmed in his hometown of El Paso, Texas, his latest single will put you in the feels, making you want to drive down the highway to Texas and listen to it in the middle of the desert. His follow-up single “Let’s Go” was even bigger, more upbeat and pop-focused, and a strong indication that this is only the start in his rising career.
“Location is a story of young love. The kind of love that you would travel all over the country to find. It’s just a story of searching for something that we all want in life no matter who we are and that’s a real genuine lover, but it doesn’t come easy.”
