Diddy is still mourning the loss of Kim Porter.
In an interview he did with Dream Hampton on “Yes Girl” podcast, his emotions seem to flood back, as he talks about this upcoming Mother’s Day. As you may know, Porter was the mother of several of Diddy’s children. She died in November, after a battle with pneumonia. This will be the first Mother’s Day that the Combs family celebrates without her.
“Anybody that’s lost a mother or lost a soulmate it takes time. It takes time. They say time heals all wounds when it comes to mothers…I don’t think that’s the case,” said Diddy, before he goes into how it’s hard being a black woman and raising children. In his opinion, it’s a pain that won’t go away easily– especially when there was genuine admiration shared. “There’s levels and dimensions to love, and especially love between a man and woman. There’s this place that almost goes beyond friendship. It’s where two people actually feel like a level of responsibility to love this person forever; and total trust.”
Diddy cried during the podcast, but that’s OK. After all, he recently referred to Porter as the love of his life.
