This week we recognize Hollywood’s young fallen star, Jahmil French. The young actor, most known for his role on the Candian hit series, Degrassi: The Next Generation has died from unknown causes.
French was also known for his other projects including; His recent Netflix film. “Soundtrack” opposite of Actress and singer, Christina Milan and the series, “Let’s Get Physical.”
Dead at the tender age of 28, French was talented beyond measures. French came from a humble beginning when he got his first major acting gig in 2009. , Appearing on the Degrassi franchise, the actor starred in “Degrassi: Minis” series of special episodes. In 2017, he got a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role in the movie “Boost.” French was also a Broadway actor and a dancer.
Many celebrities took to social media to express their love and condolences for the actor.
Costar and actress Mindy Shankar to Instagram to share her favorite memories with the late actor expressing, “Thank you for being one of the most talented, compassionate, kindest, funniest friends I have.”
Canadian actor, Luke Bilyk also penned a heartfelt message stating, “This moment will live in my mind forever. A beautiful soul, thank you for the years of memories and laughter. You’re a light my brother and I’m so happy we got to experience this crazy life together. Rest in peace .”
Although we are only 3 months into the year, Jahmil is one of many stars who have passed away. Some celebrities include late-night talk show host, Larry King, 90’s Saved by The Bell star, Dustin Diamond, and Hollywood iconic treasure, Cicely Tyson. These stars will truly be missed.
