Daddy Yankee is known as the man who brought reggaeton from the underground to the mainstream music scene. He is one of the most influential voices in this genre alone, since the early 2000s. Not only establishing reggaeton as a profitable genre, but Yankee also captivated the world with his international hit “Gasolina”.
And if that wasn’t enough, now you can start staying at the residence of famed reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee. This will become a possibility in December. In fact, the singer decided to open the doors of his home in Luquillo through the accommodation platform Airbnb.
“By opening the doors of my house, I want to share the culture of my people, our pride and our flavor, in addition to showing how easy it can be to open the doors of your home, with the warmth that characterizes us Puerto Ricans“, said the artist.
While the boricua artist is traveling, his fans can reserve a spot in the estate starting on Dec. 2. Additionally, according to Airbnb, Daddy Yankee plans to leave the residence available for much longer than that. But at the moment the available dates are Dec. 13, 15 and 17.
Reservations are limited to one per night with a maximum of two guests for $85. This price is a commemoration of his 85 successful songs.
The Estate Itself
“The design of the house is completely based on his songs, his videos and how he, as an artist, has the ability to bring with his music a very inspiring and at the same time very creative message”, said Fernando Rodríguez designer for this project.
