Cleveland rapper, DaBaby, is facing major backlash this week after he was caught on video striking a woman in the face. The incident took place at Whiskey North nightclub in Tampa, Florida.

DaBaby, real name Jonathan Kirk, was making his way to the stage when all of a sudden he turns to a fan and slapped her in the face open-palmed. He allegedly lashed out because she hit him in the eye with her cellphone.

DaBaby and his entourage left the venue shortly after the incident after being boo’d by the crowd.

You can see the flash of a phone light in the video. DaBaby claims he couldn’t see who he was striking because of the bright flash and says he wouldn’t have hit her if he knew it was a woman.

The rapper took to Instagram live to explain, “I do apologize that there was a female on the other end … keep in mind, I couldn’t see you because you got the flash this close to me … I wish you could have respected me.”

Several other videos of the incident are now circulating showing that the woman did seem to have hit the rapper in the face.

This news is just another strike on DaBaby’s lengthy wrap sheet. Last December, he was arrested on robbery and battery charges, as well as marijuana possession. The battery charges have since been dropped as of last week. Also in December, the rapper was again filmed on video lashing out. He was seen slamming the worker of a hotel against a wall in a fit of rage on claims that the worker was harassing him.

Even worse, the rapper played some sort of part in a shooting that took place in a Walmart and ultimately left a 19-year-old man dead in 2018. He claimed it was an act of self-defense. For that, he was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and sentenced to a year of probation.

As of now, DaBaby is offering to fly out the woman he smacked over the weekend, to apologize to her in person.

What do you guys think of this? Are you a DaBaby fan?
