Copywrite returned with a new album ‘The High Exhaulted II’

Rapper Copywrite, hailing from Columbus, Ohio, has dropped his new album, The High Exhaulted II, following his debut in 2002. With extensive experience in underground hip-hop, his music features cleverly crafted verses and rich production. In this latest release, he delivers intense delivery over diverse beats by talented producers like Swab, Stu Bangas, and the late Camu Tao, resulting in consistently engaging tracks.

The album starts strong with “Cold Turkey Leftovers,” where Copy shows off his lyrical skill and microphone control with elastic rhymes. The production is grand, with driving keys, snapping percussion, and addictive bass. Then comes “The Lah,” with intriguing, mysterious production featuring dream-like guitars and energetic keys. Copy’s confident verses and sleek lyricism keep listeners hooked, hanging onto every word.

In “Spoiler Alert/ Have U Cena?”, he takes on wrestler John Cena, accusing him of stealing his lyrics for Cena’s music. The track has rumbling, dark production with space-age synths and heavy drums. In “White Sean Price,” elegant vocals and warm guitars blend with infectious drums and rich bass for an immersive groove. He teams up with Vordul Mega for “Maintain,” addressing societal issues over soulful, chilly beats. The album concludes with “Silence,” featuring thought-provoking pianos and textured drums backing Copy’s emotive verses.

The High Exhaulted II, released on Man Bites Dog Records, features focused verses and skillful flows from Copy. With powerful, dynamic verses and captivating production, this album offers an exciting blend of sonic palettes and thoughtful lyricism throughout.
