For the young money cash cow Drake, 2018 was about squashing the beef, getting money and collab.
The Canadian native had no problem doing either through the year. From dropping the double album entitled “Scorpion”, to climbing the Billboard charts, Drizzy virtually ruled the music industry. Along the way, he reached great achievements which include Drake becoming the first artist ever to exceed 50 billion global streams. In addition, while on tour with the trio Migos, Drake had seemed to finally make amends with artists that he previously had falling out with. One of the most noticeable beef that was squashed, was none other than Meek Mill. The two were feuding over the past two years, with little to no resolve. However, it was made clear when Meek Mill dropped freestyle on funk flex Meek and Drake reconciled. The two went on to do a song on Meek Mill’s album entitled CHAMPIONSHIPS, which featured going bad.
Another relationship that we saw mended was that of Chris Brown. The crowd surely went crazy when Drake shared the stage with Chris Brown during an LA concert. On New Year’s eve, Aubrey hosted an epic NYE Party with guests such as Kendall and Kylie Jenner, along with Travis Scott. He also took to Instagram jokingly giving us a hint at him and breezy possibly doing an album. We can only wonder and speculate at the moment if this is something that will come to life in 2019.
Despite patching up things with former friends, it seems as though he and his idol Kanye West. In the late part of 2018, Kanye started a rant demanding Drake give him an apology for throwing shade.Drake ain’t no bitch, but Kim Kardashian wasn’t having it , and took to social media demanding for an apology to her husband as well. Things seeming became more awkward when Kanye ran to avoid questions about Drizzy. The rants didn’t stop there, as Ye was steamin after Drake followed his wife on Instagram.
Will we see Drizzy and Brown collab on an album? Will Kanye and Drizzy end their beef?
