It goes without saying that Nicki Minaj has earned the GOAT title. After her brief retirement, the iconic rapper returned to the spotlight with the rerelease of her 2009 mixtape “Beam Me Up Scotty.” The joint has all the good classics and even offers some new tracks. Specifically, the new songs “Seeing Green” and “Fractions” have become the biggest fan-favorites off the mixtape. It’ll only be a matter of time before the songs make the top 10 spots on the Billboard Charts.

During a recent Instagram Live, the female rapper thanked her fans for all their praise and commitment to her work. In talking about the rerelease of her 2009 mixtape, Minaj explained that she wanted to do something to celebrate the records 10-year anniversary. Clearly, the rapper made the right choice by rereleasing the mixtape, all while giving fans a little something extra.

While the rerelease of Nicki Minaj’s 2009 mixtape has inspired mostly positive reviews, the critics have downright shaded the record. Such haters would be none other than City Girls JT who seemingly didn’t like the record. Sources report that hours after the rerelease of Minaj’s mixtape, JT hoped on social media to say, “Good News >.”

Many fans speculated that JT alluded to Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 debut album “Good News” being better than Minaj’s 2009 mixtape. Interrupting the comment as JT firing shots, fans immediately slammed the City Girls star. Many of them attributed her shade-throwing with the fact that Nicki Minaj turned down JT for a feature on a song. Though, the City Girls rapper tried to backtrack her earlier comment by explaining, “she really does have some good news to share soon.” Given the lack of further context, it’s difficult tell if JT has actual beef with Minaj or not.
