Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow: ‘We got ’em now’

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow puts the league on notice as they annihilated the Baltimore Ravens, 41-17. Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase’s connection has been a huge reason why this offense has found success. Not to mention, the immense talent offensively and defensively Burrow. Burrow fed Chase the ball down the middle, and he avoided two Ravens defenders. Then he was off to the races.

If this tandem progresses to what the Bengals would like it to, Sunday’s highlight will be one of many more to come. This tandem exposing that Ravens secondary put this Bengal’s offense on the map and alerted the rest of the league this team is not only to be taken seriously, but they are also playoff contenders.

“We’re gaining respect,” stated Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.”Congratulations to the Bengals. They performed exceptionally well in this divisional road game,” expressed Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.

Burrow and Chase’s Connection Will Fuel Bengals’ Success

Burrow threw for a career-high, 416 yards, this past Sunday. He also threw three touchdowns, including a bomb to Chase down the sideline. The Bengals won this game convincingly, as they began to pull away during the second half.

Burrow and Chase may possibly be ahead of schedule in turning the franchise around. The former LSU Tigers teammates were way too much for the Ravens defense to handle. Cincinnati’s offense moved the ball with ease, as Chase had eight catches for 201 yards. This was the most impactful and easily the most impressive outing in his debut season.

“We have an abundance of talented players, and our defense is performing exceptionally well at the moment,” stated Chase. “I believe there are no limits to what we can achieve.”

“After that, we entered the locker room, and the confidence surged through us,” Burrow recalled. “We were in a rhythm, reading the game better, and executing plays. From that moment on, we knew the outcome was certain.”

    The Cincinnati Bengals’ Expectations

The blowout win puts the league on notice; however, coach Zac Taylor seemed unimpressed. They beat a division rival on the road earlier in the season already. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not as good as many are accustomed to this season, yet this is still a good and meaningful win for a developing young team.

“I feel like it started before this,” Taylor said. “These are kind of things we needed to check off. This team has really taken it to us the last several times.”
