Ciara’s Parent’s Divorcing Was a Blessing in Disguise

After years of being quiet on the subject, Ciara is finally opening up about her parents divorce.

Ciara, mother of two, shared what it felt like to have her parents divorce after 33 years of, what looked like, a beautiful marriage. She told her story on RuPaul’s talk show, which will air at a later date, mentions The Blast.

Ciara says her parents didn’t split until 2015. And at that time, ironically, Ciara was going through her own troubles in her dating life. But she credits her parent’s separation to having a major influence on how she handled her relationship with Future.

“The one thing I fear in life is really wasting my life. I really fear that ‘cause you realize that time does not stop, and it will be the worst scenario to stay in a situation that it’s just not healthy, it’s not going to get any better. I realized that I have to start making different decisions,” she told RuPaul.

If you remember, Ciara was dating Future since 2013. The two met, fell in love, got engaged, had a baby, and then broke-up. The reason was infidelity. Future cheated on Ciara while she was pregnant with their son, Future Zahir Wilburn. It was a pretty terrible situation to be in, but the singer came out on top at the end.

We guess Ciara realized life isn’t over after one failed marriage. You can actually find love all over again. “My mother and father are now happily married.,” she said. “I never thought I’d be okay with that but I really am. I’m happy that they’re happy.”

Ciara is now happily married herself, to Seattle Seahawks football player, Russell Wilson. As for Future, he still struggles to find her replacement.
