It’s not every day you find a fugitive living out of a cave…until now.
A man in China was found to be hiding in a cave for the last 17 years. According to CNN, a 63-year-old man by the name of Song Jiang went missing, after fleeing a labor camp in southwestern China’s Sichuan. Prior to his disappearance, officials say he was serving time at the labor camp for his role in abducting and trafficking women and children.
And though there was a mandated search for him, his exact whereabouts had been unknown since his escape in 2002. Apparently, officers knew he was hiding in the mountains, but had a difficult time locating him due to the complex landscape.
So they basically gave up…until a drone was able to successfully pick up his location years later. As it turns out, Song is a master of hide and seek. He was hiding in the mountains near Yongshan county, Yunnan– close to his hometown.
A drone captured Song living in a narrow cave, where police later arrested him. He is now in custody.
