This summer, Chidi Bangz came to show up & show out! He’s heating up the streets with the release of his most recent release “It’s Up Now”. The hot new single comes accompanied by an even hotter visual.
Chidi Bangz drops off his high-energy drill track paired with a visual that his fans can live vicariously through. Throughout the music video, his audiences are able to experience the lavish lifestyle of Nigerian Hip-Hop/Afrobeats artist, Chidi.
The video follows Chidi through a night in New York City, kicking off with him relaxing in his uptown apartment surrounded by gorgeous ladies. Next, the scene moves on to the studio before wrapping up in the club. He and homies are seen turning up in a section, flexing their money and popping the best bottles. He also makes sure to flaunt his all-white Bentley Coupe while rapping about his career and wealth because you know, “IT’S UP NOW!”
Although Chidi considers Southside Jamaica Queens, New York to be his home, his mother sent him to Lagos, Nigeria, where his family was from as a child after an incident landed him in some trouble. This is where he was able to fully immerse himself in his culture, which influenced a portion of his sound.
Chidi reunited with a few members of G-Unit after returning to New York City and began to observe how they conducted themselves in the studio and onstage, adapting what he saw to his own craft.
