As a four-time Grammy-nominated producer and signed artist to Kanye West’s GOOD Music Record Label, Charlie Heat is kicking off 2017 with a hot streak collaborating with fellow artist and New Jersey native Ant Beale. Beale who has been penning records with multi-platinum artist Trinidad and Kehlani in 2016, took to Instagram and stated that this is his “first body of work in 5 years.”
The release of their collaborative project No Rain, No Flowers was accompanied by a listening party in North Philadelphia at the Marsten Recording Studio. On the 4th floor of an artistic, chic and vintage warehouse, music and creativity encapsulated the walls. Upon entering the warehouse, paintings and graffiti pieces hung along side of the hallway, as the loud music escorted people into the main listening room. The dimmed ambiance of the lighting created a perfect atmosphere for listeners to be apart and actually feel the music experience.
It was not only a listening party in which Charlie Heat and Ant Beale showcased their EP, but it was a music social in which other artists including Bri Steves, different publications, and creative youth collaborated and vibed together. It was just enough space for people to intermingle in the hallway, yet participate in the experience. While Charlie Heat was present, he took the backseat as he allowed his music to speak for him. Fueled by Novum Entertainment, the listening party featured a range of friends, family and fans alike all vibing under one roof to commemorate the onset of a promising 2017.
Charlie Heat and Ant Beale’s song, “10 krts” definitely resonated with the listeners. In addition to his and Ant Beale’s EP release, Charlie Heat has been listed on the track list of Kanye’s 7th album, Life of Pablo, but greater than that, the single “Facts” is listed as the “Charlie Heat version”. This is only the beginning.
