Cardi B and her sister, Hennesy Carolina are reportedly being sued For Defamation after MAGA beach incident. Recently, the sisters visited the beach and were met by Trump supporters, when an confrontation ensued. Video footage shows the individuals wearing MAGA hats and yelling the word, “Trump” at the rapper. After exposing the beachgoers as racists, the three local Suffolk county residents are fighting back – claiming that the video that was shared on social media has created difficulties in their everyday life.
The people in question, Peter and Pauline Caliendo, and Manuel Alarcon, have reportedly filed a lawsuit against the “Wap” star. The alleged victims are claiming that they were at Smith Point beach enjoying themselves when Hennessy approached them and began spitting, threatening, and insulting them because of their MAGA memorabilia.
However, Cardi B’s video debunks her tale. The video shows the Caliendos using homophobic slurs against both Hennessy and her girlfriend, Michelle Diaz. Cardi B took to social media addressing the situation, noting that even though she has the number one song in the world, it doesn’t stop her or her sister from being harassed.
Many may recall, Cardi B has been much more politically engaged in the recent months. This year, the rapper sat down with Democratic Presidential Nominee Je Biden to talk about racial equality, health care, police brutality, COVID-19 and more.
Stay tuned for more information. Have you seen the video? What do you think about the situation? Is Cardi correct in putting the video on the internet for the world to see? Tell me your thoughts in the comment section below.
