There’s a price for taking a person’s life. Unfortunately, rappers right and left continue to have their lives taken by gun and knife violence. In the UK, deaths caused by knifes are especially common. Recently, Canadian battle rapper Pat Stay lost his life this past Labor Day weekend to a murder. Unfortunately, the killer still remains at large. Though, we hope the murderer will be found out soon enough.
The Details of Battle Rap Legend Pat Stay’s Death
The news of Stay’s death happened earlier this week. Furthermore, CBC News and Stay’s brother confirmed his death. It’s been revealed that the 36-year-old was stabbed to death in Nova Scotia, Canada. The incident occurred midnight. Moreover, police answered a 911 call about an unidentified person carrying a lethal weapon at 12:36am local time. After arriving on the scene, police found the body of Stay riddled with multiple stab wounds. Pat Stay was immediately transported to a local hospital. However, he eventually succumbed to his wounds. Further details show that no suspects have been brought in for questioning at this time.
The Tributes Come Rushing In
Unfortunately, Pat Stay’s death has devasted the rap community. Everyone in the HipHop scene has reached out to express their deepest apologies for the battle rapper’s untimely passing.
Stay’s friend and colleague, female battle rapper Bonnie Godiva, expressed her devastation at the news of his passing. “He was one of the best and kind-hearted people in battle rap-EVER . . . We will all honestly miss him and the individual inspiration he’s given to millions of us.”
