Toronto’s next pop/R&B sensation, Madhouse, has been rising through the ranks as of late. He has returned with a potential chart-topping single called “WTF”.
Doing Big Things
After receiving the stamp of approval from prestigious music publication, Pigeons and Planes, the sky’s the limit for the young Canadian artist.
Music started as something very sacred and sentimental to him. His mother owned a piano store in his Toronto community. When he wasn’t in school, he spent most of his developmental years in that store. That’s where his love for music sparked and his musical journey subsequently began.
“WTF” his newest release, transports listeners to the Canadian artist’s world of madness. The song is about working through dysfunction and searching for stability in his romantic relationships.
Straight from the Heart
The single reflects all the common elements that are commonly found in Madhouse’s music. It has vulnerable song-writing and does an impeccable job incorporating live instruments in the production. Best of all, it’s the perfect mixture of genres. If I had to classify what genre it falls into, I would say the vibe is “alt-pop rock” for how edgy yet smooth this song is.
When he introduces the bass line halfway in, it adds to the intensity of the song. Madhouse paints a vivid picture of his emotions running wild through imagery in his song lyrics. “Someday, someway, this has all gotta change,” he sings in the first verse, as he hopes to escape the despair and negativity.
In a time when artists constantly get away with doing the bare minimum such as not taking pride in performing, he is one of those artists who always will stand out from the crowd. His unique set of skills and polished artistry will take his career very far.
