Cam’ron Claims Memphis Grizzlies All-Star Ja Morant Suffers From Gary Coleman Syndrome

Cam’ron has claimed that Memphis Grizzlies All-Star Ja Morant has succumbed to what he calls “Gary Coleman Syndrome” to explain his recent gun and assault controversies. On the latest episode of It Is What It Is, Cam and special guest Ma$e reflected on the trouble the Memphis Grizzlies guard has landed himself in over the last few months.

Cameron Ezike Giles (born February 4, 1976) is an American rapper.

Cameron Ezike Giles (born February 4, 1976), better known by his stage name Cam’ron, is an American rapper, actor and entrepreneur from Harlem, New York. He is the de facto leader of East Coast hip hop groups The Diplomats and U.N.

Born in the New York City borough of Harlem on February 4, 1976, he was raised by a single mother named Fredericka Giles. He went to high school at the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics where he met his longtime friends Mase and Jim Jones. He was a promising basketball player but could not take advantage of scholarship opportunities due to his poor academic standing.

He started his rap career in the mid 1990s rapping with Big L and Mase in a group called Children of the Corn. He later teamed up with Damon Dash to form the hip hop group Dipset. They released the album ‘Come Home with Me’ in 2002, which was produced by Just Blaze and Kanye West and featured Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel. The album also landed in the top 10 of several music awards lists and was awarded platinum status by the RIAA.

Until his recent suspension by the Memphis Grizzlies for a gun incident, Ja Morant was enjoying one of the most promising years of any point guard in the NBA. But his off-court antics, which include a plethora of legal issues and assault allegations, have tainted his reputation.

The 23-year-old’s escapades have drawn commentary from Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe and Fat Joe, among others. Now, Harlem World’s Cam and Mase have joined the conversation.

Dipset is a rap group that was formed in 1997 by childhood friends Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones. They were originally signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, but later branched out and signed with their own label, Diplomat Records.

Over the years, they have released numerous mixtapes and albums that influenced many other rappers. Their gangsta rap over soulful samples became an iconic part of New York hip hop culture.

In an episode of Cam’ron’s sports podcast It Is What It Is, he compared Ja Morant to the late Diff’rent Strokes actor Gary Coleman. The Dipset general drew a comparison between Morant’s recent incidents and the late child star’s behavior in order to explain his own frustration with the Memphis Grizzlies guard.

The rapper explains the situation by pointing out that Morant has received too much money at an early age and is trying to “make it in the hood.” This is a reversal of what many young men in America go through, according to Cam’ron.

The Grizzlies’ star has been under scrutiny since police reports surfaced last week that said Morant flashed a gun at a teen in a parking lot four days before the incident. He was suspended by the Grizzlies for their games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. However, he is set to return to the NBA on March 20.

He is the son of Fredericka Giles

Born Cameron Ezike Giles on February 4, 1976, in Harlem, New York City, Cam’ron is an American rapper and record producer. He is the leader of the hip-hop group Dipset, which he formed in 1997 with Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey.

In 2003, Cam’ron and the Diplomats released their debut album, “Diplomatic Immunity.” The record was a hit, achieving Gold certification.

However, the rapper went on a three-year hiatus after his mother’s health complications worsened. In 2004, he released his fourth solo-record, “Purple Haze.”

The rap star returned to Instagram on Saturday (February 9), announcing the death of his mother, Fredericka Giles, who was known to her followers as “Virgie_OG.” He said he originally did not want to share the news, but had a change of heart. He shared a carousel of photos of him and her, along with a heartfelt message to his fans.
