Two Arrested After Buffet Fight Turns Violent Over Crab Legs

New York Post

Don’t skip the line at the buffet if you aren’t prepared to fight to the death.

Unfortunately, those dining at the Meteor Buffet, in Hunstville, Alabama, didn’t get the memo. Because according to the New York Post, it was a free for all as customers waited in line for a fresh batch of crab legs to be served.

Witnesses at the Alabama restaurant say customers turned into complete animals once employees brought out a new batch of seafood.

They’d been waiting there for the crab legs for a good 10, 20 minutes. When they finally came out, it’s very heated. Especially if someone is taking more than their fair share.

Apparently, people had been standing patiently in line for more than 10 minutes, before all hell broke loose.

“There’s a woman who’s beating a man. People are moving around, plates are shattering everywhere.”

Customers recall people skipping the line and greedily taking more than one serving. As a result, people started fighting each other with tongs. By the end of the brawl, two individuals had been arrested. John Chapman and Chequita Jenkins were taken into custody.

Chapman, who suffered a cut on his head, is charged with disorderly conduct, while Jenkins is charged with third-degree assault.
