A missing woman’s body has been found.
Unfortunately, after being last seen exiting a local store in January 2019, the body of Amber Evans has been discovered. Columbus Police was there on the scene, to pull Evans’ body from the Ohio Scioto River, on Saturday. To get the body, the Columbus Police Special Victims Bureau and the Columbus Police Dive team had to work as a team.
Through the efforts of the detectives and dive team members, a body was recovered from the water. As for Evans’ family, they are just happy to finally be able to lay their daughter to rest. The Franklin County coroner’s office was called in to work with the detectives. Additional information will be available pending the outcome of the Coroner’s investigation and identification.”
Authorities say that at the time, a detailed investigation into her death is now underway. According to Evans’ mother, Tonya, she was a good person and always had the best interests of other people at heart.
According to NBC News, Amber Evans was best known as a community activist. She had just been promoted to Executive Director for the Juvenile Justice Coalition, in Columbus, Ohio.
