It’s no secret that celebrities receive better treatment behind bars. Rapper Bobby Shmurda recently shared that his time in prison was better than being in the psych ward. Despite Shmurda’s good time in prison, he did feel defeated at times. Even celebrities have days when they believe the world has turned against them. Bobby Shmurda certainly experienced some bad times while being locked up.
Hard Times Fall On The Rapper
While the media attempts to glorify street life and violence. However, the lifestyle leads to arrests and serving long prison sentences, sometimes even till death. While Bobby Shmurda didn’t face any death penalties in prison, he did fall on hard times during his six-year bid.
In a recent interview with Variety, Shmurda shared that at times he felt defeated after fighting with police officers. The Miami, FL native stated that at the time he “hated everything and everyone” which led him to lash out at officers. Even worse, he experienced moments of severe aggression and homicidal rage. Luckily, the rapper has come a long way since then.
Bobby Shmurda Had Severe Anger Problems As A Teen
Looking back on rapper Bobby Shmurda’s medical history, he has a history of serious anger issues. In continuation of his interview with Variety, the Brooklyn drill rapper further mentioned that his time in prison was an upgrade from being locked in the psych ward. Unfortunately, at just 16-years-old the rapper went to a psychiatric ward to treat his mental health issues. Clearly, he had behavior issues growing up. Even worse, Shmurda attempted to burn down the facility when the guards refused to let him leave.
While the rapper couldn’t walk out the front doors during his prison sentence, he did have certain freedoms granted to him. Recalling his recent time behind bars, Shmurda revealed that he smoked weed, danced with prisoners and even had sex with various women.
During Bobby Shmurda’s prison sentence, he may have felt defeated at one point, but he had some good times too.
