Black Lives Matter Vs. Veronica Wu And Asian Hate Against Blacks

Louisville Mayor to be Investigated for Poor Response to ProtestsVeronica Wu of First Bright Ventures stepped down after emails leak of her debunking the Black Lives Matter Movement. She is a founding member/managing partner of the apparel company.

In her statement, Wu said: “I don’t believe in Black Lives Matter. If anything I think they are the true racists.”

    The Miseducation of Racism

The social stigma of the African American society, in defense of  white society dismisses the true realities of racism—there is a block. The block, per se, is the justification of the machinery of economic oppression. Paradigms of existing roadblocks were in place since the birth of The United States. These include the purchasing of real estate, partaking in corporate endeavors and even recreational activity. There is grave misunderstanding concerning the plight of the Black experience. There have been century long fights for justice; yet there are doubts about Black people’s motives. There is a switch of the narrative. Those apart of white society accusing the Black society of projecting hate against the unveiled systematic oppression.

The movement led by whites aligns with their systematic actions against African American people. The Black Lives Matter Movement is in solidarity with Black people’s fight for justice. Though the subculture is a platform for Blacks, there are also white revolutionaries who share the same sentiments. The union petitioned to reprimand lawmakers who pass legislation in an effort to limit Black people. However; the union is considered a nuisance to society.

Asian Hate Affecting the Black Community

White supremacy tends to rub off on other races, influencing the same hate towards Black people. For example; Asians. There is a conflict of interest in most social experiences between African Americans and Asians. For iinstance, the tragic murder of Latasha Harlins. According to Los Angels Times, Soon Ja Du, a store owner shot Harlins in the back of the head in 1991. After she allegedly stole orange juice, she scuffled with Du. However, Harlins held two dollars to pay for the juice.  She punched Du, when Harlins exited the store, Du shot her. Consequently, Soon Ja Du only served probation.

Asian hate discrimination laws reinforce anti-discrimination towards Asians, but none are in place for Black people.

    Wu’s Sentiment among White Society

According to AXIOS, Veronica Wu shared her sentiments via email about her stance on white society. Even so, she argues that Black Lives Matter is a hoax that does not matter. Axios obtained emails of Wu’s dismissal of the movement.
