Beyonce is making money moves…and this time it’s with the help of Adidas.
According to the sports brand, Beyonce will be joining their team as a creative director in their new “multi-layered” deal. The deal is said to incorporate Ivy Park, which Beyonce will be relaunching under the Adidas umbrella. And if you ask both parties, this new partnership is a match made in heaven.
Beyonce says, “This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business.” For the singer, this is a step in the opposite direction. Prior to her partnership with Adidas, the singer’s apparel and shoe line were in partnership with Topshop. Bey first launched her line back in 2016, and before that, it was the House of Dereon, on her own.
As for Adidas, they’ve been at this game for a while now. Contrary to their merger with Beyonce, they already have a deal with Kanye West.
Yet, even though West’s Yeezy collection brings in trucks of money, it’ll be interesting to see how Ivy Park compares.
