A piece of holiday-themed art appeared on the side of a car garage, in Port Talbot, South Wales. It’s a confirmed graffiti piece from Banksy.
The image first appeared overnight, on the garage belonging to Ian Lewis.
“I didn’t think much of it at the time, I knew a little bit about Banksy but I never thought it would be him – if it is him,” Lewis said.
On one side of the garage, the image depicts a small child catching snowflakes on his tongue. The other side shows a trash bin set afire, with ash coming from flames.
The artwork has attracted crowds of people, creating the need to protect it. Lewis has been working with a council in Neath Port Talbot to help keep it safe. They’ve worked together to build a fence around the Banksy craft.
The artwork sits just a short distance from the town’s old steelworks. Banksy calls the art “Seasons Greetings.”
