Bad Bunny Wins Artist of the Year at the VMA’s

Bad Bunny, the urban artist, made history last night at the MTV VMA Awards by winning the prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award. Bad Bunny made history as the first-ever Latino artist to receive this prestigious honor.

“I can’t express my feelings enough. I’m incredibly proud to be here tonight at Yankee Stadium, accepting this award,” he said, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd who had just sung along with him.

After the announcement, the channel reached out to Bad Bunny at Yankee Stadium in New York, where he performed his popular single ‘Tití Me Preguntó’. Following his outstanding performance, he was presented with the award by NBA player Carmelo Anthony.

“I’ve always believed in myself and have been vocal about it. I knew I had the potential to become a major figure, one of the biggest stars in the world, while staying true to my culture, language, and unique style.”

The MTV Video Music Awards is MTV’s oldest award show. It took place last night in New Jersey. Bad Bunny was nominated for the Best Latin Award, but the award went to Brazilian singer Anitta for her song ‘Envolver‘.

In addition to his Artist of the Year nomination, the Puerto Rican singer also received three other nominations: Best Latin Video, Song of the Summer, and Album of the Year. ‘First Class‘ by Jack Harlow won the Song of the Summer award, while Harry Styles took home the Album of the Year for ‘Harry’s Home’.

“I am Benito Antonio Martínez from Puerto Rico, and I want to thank everyone around the world!”
