These days, legendary singers and musicians are making a huge comeback. Everyone from the likes of Babyface to P. Diddy and even Elton John have found their way back into the spotlight.
As of late, early 2000s R&B singer Ashanti has especially made a grand return to the stage. The Grammy-award singer has been spotted everywhere these days, including at the 2022 BET Soul Train Awards where she delivered a spellbinding performance. Recently, The Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship Game announced that the star will sing the national anthem for their big game this Saturday.

When it comes to Ashanti’s comeback, the woman moves fast. She’s been featured on P.Diddy’s remix to “Gotta Move On” and she just hopped off the 2022 Mega Yush stage in Jamaica. The Grammy award-winning artist’s comeback has obviously yielded positive responses. Fans can’t get enough of the R&B singer.
Speaking of which, the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship Game just announced their lineup of in-game entertainment, broadcasting and marketing enhancements. While there’ll be plenty of action for people to watch, Ashanti’s performance will certainly steal the show.
Furthermore, the Championship Game will feature the multi-platinum artist singing the National Anthem for Saturday’s big game. Be sure to catch the Horned Frogs and The Wildcats fight for the Championship win December 3 at 11am C.T and 12pm E.T on ABC.
Her Previous Attempt At Singing The National Anthem
Though, this won’t be the first time the star has sung the National Anthem. Earlier this year, Ashanti was tapped to sing the song at the AFC Championship football game between the Cincinnati Bengals versus Kansas City Chiefs.
However, the singer experienced technical difficulties, resulting in her mic fading in and out. Fortunately, fans came to Ashanti’s rescue and sang the “Star-Spangled Banner.” By the star taking another jab at the song, let’s hope there’s no issues this time around.
