Ariana Grande Remembers Mac Miler on Her Opening Night

ROLLING STONE

Ariana Grande is paying homage to her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, again.

On Monday night, the singer opened up her concert for the Sweetener World Tour, by playing Miller’s old songs. Monday was the first night of SWT, and it took place at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. It isn’t clear what opening songs she chose to play throughout the venue, but fans were quickly put into an emotional state. Some fans even went to Twitter to express themselves.

One fan wrote:

“Ariana grande is playing Mac Miller right before her opening song for sweetener tour rn and my heart can’t handle it SO MANY TEARS”

The move comes just after Miller’s death in September 2018. According to autopsy reports, Miller died due to an accidental overdose. He was 26-year-old.

Just before her concert kicked-off, Grande let the final Miller song serenade the audience, as concertgoers tried to find their seats. According to TMZ, the last song of the tribute was “Dang!”.
